In my last post I mentioned I was shooting Bryan Adams at The Brighton Dome (a week ago now). I was actually the only photographer which is always great as it gives exclusivity to the sales, however, I have never managed to supply the local (Brighton) press; not sure why.
Then the total opposite (musically), . I’m not sure how to describe her, “energetic” maybe.. She closed Stage 3 on the Sunday evening and certainly kicked up a riot…
Pixie Lott has been on tour supporting the Saturdays. I got to photograph her at Brighton Dome. As it was a seated concert, we had to stay quite a way back (but at least we get to see the whole set and lighting). As you would expect, The Saturdays tour with an elaborate stage set which leaves little room for the support acts at the front of the stage. The only issue is the curtain backdrop does not make for the nicest images…
Monday I was up in town for the UK Première of “Public Enemies“. I have not managed to see the film yet as unusually even the press screenings were full for this eagerly anticipated movie. Johnny Depp was the main attraction on the carpet and this brought out thousands of fans to see him. The weather was good so it was a lovely evening. He’s very photogenic to.
I guess I cannot end this post without mentioning, probably the most talked about man this week – Michael Jackson. Like many others I grew up with his music and can particularity remember buying the Thriller album on Saturday lunchtime whilst on my lunch break. Outside the HMV at The Trockedro a memorial has been started (as I guess one has in many major towns). I found the number of people adding to it quite moving. This image was published in The London Paper Tuesday night….
What’s coming? Tonight is Bryan Adams in Brighton and over the weekend I will be going bonkers at The Wireless Festival in Hyde Park. Have a good weekend…
